Pinnacle Awards by FPRA

The Pinnacle Awards are designed to recognize individuals, agencies, nonprofit organizations, corporate teams and government agencies for their outstanding and ongoing strategic work in public relations and communications, as well as contributions, commitment and advocacy for the greater good of their community, society, publics or the profession of public relations and communication. Their efforts will have made a profound and meaningful impact on their targeted audiences, their organizations or clients, their publics or the profession.

Individuals and entities that meet the following criteria can self-nominate or be nominated by another. Membership in FPRA is not required.

 

Pinnacle Award: Communicator of the Year

A public relations or communications practitioner who does exceptional work as a solo practitioner or as part of an agency, business, nonprofit or other organization that has some element of its business in the state of Florida.

 

Pinnacle Award: Agency

An agency that does exceptional work providing public relations, marketing and communication services in the state of Florida or for clients in the state of Florida.

 

Pinnacle Award: Nonprofit Team

An organization with a 501(c)(3) status operating in the state of Florida and doing exceptional work using public relations, marketing and communications to accomplish its mission.

 

Pinnacle Award: Corporate Team

A business or corporation operating in the state of Florida and doing exceptional work using public relations, marketing and communications for the benefit of either its core business or to provide a benefit to its local community, society in general or its publics.

 

Pinnacle Award: Government Team

A local or state governmental agency, department or office operating in the state of Florida doing exceptional work using public relations, marketing and communications to accomplish its purpose or to improve the lives of its constituents.

 

ENTRY AND JUDGING PROCESS

Nominations can be no longer than 400 words and should provide examples of:

  • Thought leadership
  • Innovation of communications and strategy
  • Successes in the form of impact significance, growth, long-term change or results

In addition to the 400 word entry, up to three additional files may be uploaded, but are not required. These could be articles, webpages, videos or photos showing the accomplishments of the nominee. Title each with the nominee name, award category and a descriptive word such as "Article."

 

Awards are determined by a team of FPRA Past Presidents. All decisions of the judges are final.
